The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) has appointed a new president to the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Memphis and selected one finalist for TCAT Jackson's next head. The two schools are set to play a crucial role in the growing workforce needs in West Tennessee — spurred by Ford Motor Co.'s BlueOval City. Ford's program, BlueOval Learning, relies on certification opportunities provided by an on-the-BlueOval-campus TCAT managed by TCAT Jackson. That on-site facility will be targeted toward Ford and BlueOval SK's 6,000-strong workforce.
