A Memphis-based used car dealership ceased operations last week, resulting in the closure of locations across the Southeast as well as its local headquarters. American Car Center filed a WARN notice on Monday, Feb. 27, with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. The auto dealer informed the state that 288 workers at their Memphis headquarters at 6775 Lenox Center Court were impacted. The company permanently closed its business operations on Feb 24. The company was founded in 2000 in Memphis and grew to more than 40 locations across 10 Southeastern states.
