City Auto - Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee

I was greeted and treated very professional in looking for a car. There was no pressure nor hassle in reaching a decision. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Mr. Tony Daniel, sales representative, appeared to focus on my desire to find a car that met my needs. Thank you for a wonderful and pleasant experience.

I came in to City Auto on 04/12/2018 to look at the 2015 Yukon Denali. I test drove the vehicle and decided to purchase the vehicle the same day, not to mention the vehicle needed to be detailed inside and out. I was told that all vehicles go through inspection at City Auto before it's put on the lot for sale. Two days later my Wife and I got pulled over by the Shelby County Sheriff because of the Driver's side tail light was out. I was given instruction to get it fixed immediately. So I brought the truck in that following Monday 04/16/18, I was instructed to take the truck to Pro Auto so they could fix the problem. After about 4 hours of waiting pro auto changed the 3rd brake light because it had worn seals allowing water to leak inside as well as repaired the inoperative tail light. On 04/17/18, a day later I noticed the driver side tail light was out again. So immediately after work I brought it back to City Auto to get it fixed for the second time. I came into City Auto and The contractor wasn't in attendance. However I was able to get in touch with him to notify him about the reoccurring problem. I inspected the tail light and noticed that it wasn't a new light. There is obvious wear and scuff marks on the driver tail light indicating long term use. The contractor told me that they put a brand new tail light in and that he actually saw the new box. I told him personally that I beg to differ on his statement. I inspect new and used components on a daily basis as a mechanic, so I have an eye for things like this. He instructed me to drop the vehicle off so they could repair the light and I was given a 2 day rental for the inconvenience. On the 04/19/2018 I did a follow up call checking on the repair or repairs made on the tail light and Scott told me that he couldn't give me a time of when it could be fixed. Today is 04/20/18 and this marks the second/last day of this 2 day rental. The tail light is a minor repair and I would like to say that I'm not as confident in my purchase from City Auto From these timeline of events and poor communication, I'm not sure if I made the right choice in choosing City Auto.
